In the video, Olena Mudra, freelance journalist for Zakarpattia Online, is once again accused of allegedly embezzling $53,000, supposedly intended for organizing an “ecological LGBT gathering” on Mount Runa in the Carpathians. The journalist links these attacks to her professional work, specifically, her reporting on the wind turbine development in the Carpathians.

The video also claims that the journalist’s son allegedly crossed the border into Slovakia illegally during the full-scale war. The authors assert that the organization “LGBT Active of Ukraine” allegedly helped him leave the country and find a job with the local football club “Rashkovan.”

In the so-called statement, Olena Mudra’s son appears to record a video message to his mother, asking her not to involve him in her “blogging affairs.” However, in a comment to Women in Media, Olena Mudra confirmed that the voice in the video does not belong to her son and is likely AI-generated as well.

This narrative has been used before in materials that are part of an ongoing discrediting campaign against Olena Mudra. The first mention of her son appeared in an article published on the website From UA, where the authors claimed he had illegally crossed the border, “perhaps to his grandmother in Russia.” At that time, Mudra denied the accusation in a comment to Women in Media, stating that her son was indeed abroad studying, but had left Ukraine before the full-scale invasion began.

Later, the alleged assistance in his departure was again mentioned on the Facebook page “LGBT Active of Ukraine Group” and in an article published by Kyiv News Feed on July 1, 2025 — a post that has since been deleted.

It is worth recalling that this is not the first time the organizers of the disinformation campaign against Olena Mudra have used AI-generated content. Previously, a Facebook video featured a character named Marik Fedirko, supposedly a representative of the organization “LGBT Active of Ukraine.”
