The "Women in Media" community

The "Women in Media" initiative was launched in April 2019 by Lisa Kuzmenko and Victoria Yermolaeva, who previously worked together at Public Radio. It all began with a small Facebook group, which now unites 1,500 female journalists, editors, producers, and other media professionals from all regions of Ukraine.

Among other things, we provide media professionals with psychological, expert, financial, and organizational support. We also conduct analytical research, initiate advocacy events and activities, recognize the contributions of journalists to overcoming gender inequality, and provide training.
