In 2020, the NGO “Women in Media” and the NGO “La Strada-Ukraine” collaborated on the project “Resisting Gender Transformations in Ukraine: Research on Anti-Gender Movements and Their Narratives” as part of the program “Women Mobilizing for Democracy.” The project was implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Women’s Fund.
The result was the research report titled “Gender or Anti-Gender: Who is Attacking Democracy in Ukraine?” conducted at the request of the Ukrainian Women’s Fund with the support of filia.die frauenstiftung and the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.
Anti-gender manifestations have a negative impact on the formation of policies promoting equal rights and opportunities and hinder the advancement of women’s rights in Ukraine.
These findings were presented at a press conference by the Ukrainian Women’s Fund and the civil organizations “La Strada-Ukraine” and the Association “Women in Media.”
