On October 20, 2025, the Telegram channel “Baza 111” — known for criticizing President Volodymyr Zelensky and his supporters — published a post mentioning broadcast journalist Yanina Sokolova.

The post stated:

“Sokolova Yanina Mykhailivna — propagandist, informer, supporter or advocate of arresting critics of the authorities, agitator for eternal war instead of peace, justifier of the crimes of the Territorial Recruitment Centers (TCC).

• Called for mobilizing everyone, although none of her family members or ex-husband have been mobilized.
• Called for blocking Telegram and TikTok, where Ukrainians can freely express their opinions.
• Lied that most cases of TCC crimes are psychological operations (IPSO).

• Called on the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to punish and “knock on the doors” of bloggers who in 2024 voiced a desire for peace and an end to the war.
• Urged Ukrainians dissatisfied with the war or the government’s and TCC’s criminal actions to leave Ukraine.

• Called on the SBU to visit everyone and force them to apologize for criticizing the “moment of silence” flashmob.
• In unison with the President’s Office and the SBU, took part in the attack on the mayor of Odesa, Trukhanov, in order to install a corrupt puppet appointed by Andriy Yermak, who had previously been involved in road construction tender scandals.”

This post contains clear signs of online defamation, gendered disinformation, and attempts to undermine the journalist’s professional reputation through manipulative statements, accusations of lying, and alleged support for the Office of the President of Ukraine.

A few posts earlier, the same Telegram channel also published a table titled “Baza 111 List of Zelensky Regime Propagandists,” which alphabetically lists the names of public figures — including several women journalists and media managers. Among those mentioned are: Mariia Frey, member of the Supervisory Board of Suspilne, Oksana Romaniuk, head of the Institute of Mass Information, Dariia Honchar, deputy editor-in-chief of the media outlet Grunt, Anastasiia Hudyma, director of the Department for Diversity, Inclusion and Equal Opportunities at Suspilne, Olha Yurkova, co-founder of the independent Ukrainian organization StopFake.org, Kateryna Kobernyk, head of the media outlet Babel, Sevgil Musaieva, editor-in-chief of Ukrainska Pravda, and others.
