Yaroslava Volvach - attack 24.06.2024

On June 24, 2024, the Hromadske YouTube channel published an investigation titled Do You Know Where I Got the President’s Number? The deanonymization of “Joker” was conducted by Yaroslava Volvach. The main figure in the reports is a man named Roman Kravets, whom the journalist identifies as the author of the Telegram channel “Joker.”

After the release of the first part of the investigation, Yaroslava Volvach became the target of a cyberattack. For example, in a June 25, 2024, interview with Hromadske Radio, the journalist said that communication with Joker “started with a proposition to become friends” and continued in that vein for quite some time before turning more aggressive and resentful:

“It is interesting to note that yesterday, some Telegram channels shared parts of our correspondence with him that we did not publish in the investigation. Therefore, I believe he is also leaking our conversations with someone. This story will continue to unfold, and we will be watching with interest.”

The Telegram channel “Joker” published correspondence with Yaroslava Volvach and accused her of commissioning the investigation, threatening to involve law enforcement agencies.

In addition, YouTube users left comments under the stories containing sexism and hate speech. For example:
