Mariana Verbovska - attack 24.07.2024

On July 22, 2024, the NGL.media website published an investigation titled “Kidnappers of Children,” authored by Natalia Onysko and Mariana Verbovska, which focused on the activities of the NGO “Father Has Rights.”

In response to the investigation, a post featuring sexist, misogynistic comments and gender disinformation about the journalists was published on the Facebook page of the NGO “Father Has Rights.” For example, the following comments were recorded:

• “Women in Ukraine are ready both to suck a dick and write an article, for a buck”
• “In most cases, when a woman spots a new opportunity for better perks, she jumps at it, abandoning her marriage”
• “They always treat the child as a thing”
• “A man definitely has no obligation to his ex-cunt who he used to fuck.” “We believe that in most cases a father is a better caregiver for a child than most women”

Under other posts on the Father Has Rights Facebook page, comments from users and supporters of the organization began to appear, claiming that the article mentioned was commissioned by someone. There were also proposals to sue the authors of the material for alleged defamation.
