Valeriia Pavlenko - attack 17.01.2025

Valeriia Pavlenko, a journalist for Texty.org.ua, presented a study on the media’s Instagram page, conducted jointly with Women in Media, about online violence against women in journalism. Users left comments under her reels containing sexism, hate speech, and misogyny.

For example:

●   “MASIEICHUK DISCRIMINATES JOURNALISTIC WORK, STUDY THE “CONTRIBUTIONS” OF THAT CHEAP MEDIA WHORE, MAKE A MATERIAL ON HER, AND THEN WE’LL SEE.”

●   “Welcome to the internet. Go fuck yourself with your censorship, go fuck yourself with your feminism”

●   “Online violence))) who bulled you, girl? 😂😂Just close your laptop, problem solved.”

●   “😂😂😂cyber bullying😂😂😂. You forgot about mental bullying, you fucking jerks. I wish you knew what people think about you😂😂😂”
