Sonya Koshkina, Editor-in-Chief at Lb.ua, complained on Facebook that she’s been receiving direct messages from social media users. She noted that people send her curses and threats, accusing her of either insufficient or excessive support for certain politicians, and so on.

Koshkina also posted a screenshot of one such message, which contained hate speech: “f**ing sellout Je**sh bitch.”

“In the screenshot, we see what is clearly an example of someone who is mentally unwell. Someone who thinks it’s perfectly normal to send this kind of filth to a public person, without explanation of any kind. But here’s my question: why do some people think that to insult someone, you have to call them a kike?

If someone is Jewish, what exactly is offensive about that? And why are such words still used as if they’re equivalent to Russian obscenities?” the journalist wrote.
