FacebookOn June 5, 2025, media law expert Ihor Rozkladai drew attention on his Facebook page to a video that was being circulated on social media. The video imitates a news story from the TSN news broadcast on the 1+1 channel. On screen appears a supposed anchor, Solomiya Vitvitska, who advertises an “effective remedy for hypertension that doctors are keeping quiet about and which cannot be found in pharmacies.” She then, allegedly from the studio, hands over to TSN correspondent Andriy Puryk, who appears to be reporting from the street and interviews several people sharing their impressions of the “miraculous” product.
The entire segment is generated by artificial intelligence, as indicated by several signs. For instance, Ihor Rozkladai points out that the microphone shown changes from scene to scene. In reality, TV channels use microphones with consistent and recognizable branding — typically with their logo or name displayed. In addition, the captions contain grammatical mistakes, such as the word “correspondent” spelled incorrectly.

It should also be noted that the video lacks any concrete details: there is no mention of the name of the advertised product, no references to credible sources, and no verifiable statistics to support the claim that the remedy allegedly “helped thousands of Ukrainians.” The video also fails to specify the city where the supposed correspondent is reporting from.
This video is an example of an online attack carried out through AI-generated content. The image of TV-presenter Solomiya Vitvitska, the 1+1 channel brand, and the overall style of TSN news segments are exploited in order to attract viewers’ attention by leveraging the recognizability of these elements.
