On July 7, 2025, journalist Alina Dorotiuk published an interview on her YouTube channel with 1+1 TV presenter Solomiya Vitvitska. Among the topics discussed during the interview was the restoration of the Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv, which had been damaged by Russian shelling in July 2025. The reconstruction of the hospital’s new building is being funded by the charity Okhmatdyt – Healthy Childhood, whose Supervisory Board is chaired by Solomiya Vitvitska.

YouTube users left numerous comments under the video suggesting that viewers perceived Vitvitska as insincere, evasive in answering direct questions, and generally unlikeable. Viewers also actively discussed Vitvitska’s work on the 1+1 TV channel, which is part of the United News telethon. In some comments, users shifted from sharing personal impressions to making personal insults towards Vitvitska, using hate speech, such as:

  • “Cunning — always involved in schemes and around money. Never tolerate her hypocrisy. Never.”
  • “Thanks to the host for professional questions. Now I know what a ‘snake in the grass’ looks like. But what to expect from someone who worked for 17 years at the most deceitful channel.”

A short excerpt from the interview in reels format also appeared on Alina Dorotiuk’s TikTok account. The comments under this video were more aggressive compared to the YouTube audience’s reactions and included direct insults and accusations against Vitvitska, such as:

  • “She does whatever they tell her for money”
  • “The telethon is disgusting to watch — they’re all sellouts”
  • “Propagandonka”
  • “Propagandonsha”
