Sevgil Musaieva - attack 29.12.2024

On December 29, 2024, a post appeared on the X account Roma @03Romanchick with the following text:

“Have you seen the ‘modest guy’? This is the lover of the grant-eater info-wh*re Sevgil Musaieva, Mykola Davydiuk. That’s why the Military Recruitment Office doesn’t notice Mykola. And Mykola is a very, very modest person, that’s why he can’t even pronounce ‘Servant of the People’ here.”

The post mentions Sevgil Musaieva, editor-in-chief of Ukrainska Pravda. It was illustrated with a video interview featuring political scientist Mykola Davydiuk, the journalist’s partner. Expressions such as “grant-eater info-whore”* contain elements of sexism as well as gendered disinformation, implying the journalist’s alleged “corruptibility.”

Derogatory sexist remarks with signs of gendered disinformation were also recorded in the comments under this post, for example:

“Davydiuk is a cuckold, and Sevgil is an LGBT propagandist.”

The primary aim of such posts is often the discrediting of professional activity and attempts to undermine a person’s reputation. Moreover, information about the journalist’s personal life is spread in a derogatory and dismissive manner.
