On June 26, 2025, on her Facebook page, the editor-in-chief of Ukrainska Pravda Sevgil Musaieva published a post in defense of Kateryna Mykhalko, the executive director of the association of defense industry enterprises Technological Forces of Ukraine, who faced a wave of sexism because of her age.
A screenshot of Musaieva’s post was then shared on his Telegram channel by blogger Myroslav Oleshko, who accompanied it with the following text:

“Sevgil just forgets to tell you that she slept with half of the influential politicians and oligarchs.
And since they later bragged about it to others, the entire political scene knows about it.
Davyduk 😉 But Sevgil heads a media outlet. Meanwhile, Katya is now the one through whom officials and MPs from Servant of the People are making money.”

The author of the post uses openly sexist rhetoric with elements of gendered disinformation targeting the journalist. The apparent goal of such actions is an attempt to discredit and undermine the professional reputation of the editor-in-chief of Ukrainska Pravda by insinuating sexual relationships allegedly with “influential politicians and oligarchs.” Musaieva’s partner, political analyst Mykola Davyduk, is also mentioned in the post.

This is not the first online attack by Myroslav Oleshko directed at Ukrainian women journalists, and at Sevgil Musaieva in particular. For example, on December 17, 2024, he published in his Telegram channel a photo showing Musaieva together with LB.ua editor-in-chief Sonya Koshkina and then-presidential advisor and former media manager Daria Zarivna. In that post, Myroslav Oleshko referred to them as “prostitutes.
