Online media, FacebookOn July 1, 2025, the website “Strichka Novyn Kyiva” published an article (later deleted) claiming that the organization “LGBT Activ Ukraine” accused journalist Olena Mudra and activist Oksana Stankevych-Volosianchuk of embezzling $53,000 meant for a fake “Eco LGBT Assembly” in the Carpathians.

The article also disclosed personal details about Mudra’s son Maksym, alleging he left Ukraine illegally with LGBT community support. The publication contains signs of online defamation, gendered disinformation, and doxxing. Mudra has filed a police report over this targeted smear campaign.

The article cites a Facebook post by “LGBT Activ Ukraine,” which accuses Olena Mudra of misusing donor funds supposedly allocated for organizing a fictional “Eco LGBT Assembly” on Polonyna Runa in the Carpathians. According to the post, the funds were intended for event logistics but were allegedly embezzled. The publication continues a broader smear campaign against Mudra tied to her environmental investigations.
