Olena Mudra - attack 28.06.2025

On June 28, 2025, the website “Strichka Novyn Poltavy” published an article and a Facebook post claiming the cancellation of a fictitious “Eco LGBT Assembly” in the Carpathians. Later the article was deleted.

The publication falsely accused journalist Olena Mudra and activist Oksana Stankevych-Volosianchuk of embezzling a $53,000 grant and alleged a police report was filed.

It also included disinformation about Mudra’s son and used his photo from social media. Mudra denied all claims, calling the event fabricated and part of an ongoing smear campaign targeting her environmental journalism.
