On August 7, 2025, posts appeared on the official Telegram and Facebook pages of Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksii Honcharenko targeting Bihus.info journalist Oleksandra Fedorko. Using a photo of the journalist, Honcharenko attempted to draw attention to the T-shirt she was wearing and speculated about its alleged high cost. In the same post, he also mentioned another Bihus.info journalist, Svitlana Stetsenko:

“As I understand, we’re talking about this T-shirt on this host. It costs around 10,000 UAH. My favorite Bihus.info journalist Svitlana Stetsenko should think about it. Svitlana, it looks like you’re not being paid enough for your work. You work, you try, you dance bachata, and here…”

In this way, Oleksii Honcharenko tries to target both Svitlana and me — with such photos, such provocations. I don’t even know what to call it, because he is a Member of Parliament, and for me, it’s very strange that instead of doing his job and minding his own life, he sits there looking at what clothes people are wearing and how much they cost,” – Oleksandra Fedorko told Women in Media.

Under the Telegram post, comments were also recorded that contained elements of sexism and sexualized harassment towards the journalist, such as:

  • “Better take a look at what panties she’s wearing”
  • “A girl like that could go for $300 (rent)”
  • “No boobs, but there’s a T-shirt”
  • “Village girls aren’t what they used to be”
