FacebookOn 9 February 2026, Natalia Moseichuk, a host of the Ukrainian TV channel 1+1, published the following post on her Facebook page:“Those who claim that I am on the payroll of the Office of the President, GO TO HELL! End of statement 🇺🇦”
She accompanied the post with an image of a sign reading “Office of the President of Ukraine.”
The post triggered online attacks directed at Natalia Moseichuk, including accusations of being paid off, engaging in propaganda, sexualized harassment, and insults. For example, users wrote:
- “Not on a salary, but definitely sucking up.”
- “But you still lick boots beautifully.”
- “Like government, like propagandists.”
- “Exactly Skabeeva’s behavior.”
- “So this is the face of journalism.”
- “And how do they pay you? In kind?”
- “Like a German porn actress, you take it from all sides.”

In addition, some comments can be interpreted as calls for physical violence, for example:
- “When will they finally take her out?”

Social media users also compared Natalia Moseichuk to Russian propagandist Olga Skabeeva. Similar rhetoric targeting the Ukrainian TV host had previously been documented by Women in Media on its online attacks map.
This case demonstrates clear signs of technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) directed at journalist and TV host Natalia Moseichuk. First and foremost, it involves online defamation and reputational attacks through baseless accusations that she works “for the Office of the President,” is paid off, and engages in propaganda. Such statements are aimed at undermining trust in her professional work and discrediting her as a media professional.
The comments also contain clear elements of misogynistic hate speech, sexist insults, and sexualized online harassment. These statements shift the discussion from a professional sphere into a sexualized one, humiliating the journalist specifically as a woman. Comparing her to Russian propagandist Olga Skabeeva is also a form of gendered disinformation and stigmatization, where a woman journalist is labeled a propagandist in order to delegitimize her public position.
The presence of such comments creates an atmosphere of intimidation and increases psychological pressure on the journalist. The combination of reputational attacks, sexualized insults, misogynistic rhetoric, and references to physical violence is characteristic of TFGBV and may have a chilling effect on the journalist’s further professional activity and participation in public debate.
