Daria Kurennaya - attack 11.03.2025

On March 11, 2025, a broadcast titled Russia is Pushing the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of the Kursk Region: What’s Next? appeared on Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty’s YouTube channel. One of the guests on the broadcast was Daria Kurennaya, a journalist from the Donbas.Realities project. The program aired live. Under the video, YouTube users left numerous sexist and misogynistic comments in Russian directed at the journalist, including the following:

●   “Daria stoned”

●   “Dasha’s cheeks sag as if someone had been pushing something from the inside.”

●   “Stoned Moth”

●   “Dasha, get back to the kitchen where you belong”

●   “Dasha is no good as the reparation!”

And others.

According to Daria Kurennaya, she systematically faces such comments during each of her broadcasts. The nature of these comments, along with their appearance during live broadcasts on frontline news, the progress of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and life in occupied territories, suggests they may be posted by Russian or pro-Russian bots.
