Kamila Hrabchuk - attack 21.09.2024

Kamila Hrabchuk, journalist and author of Liudy [People] YouTube channel, recorded an interview with press officer Mykyta Shandyba, where she used a short cut of fragments from their conversation for the intro. One of the questions concerned the couple of photographers, Kostiantyn and Vlada Liberov, asking, “Are the Liberovs propagandists or journalists?”

Also, Hrabchuk asked Shandyba whether photographers Kostiantyn and Vlada Liberov take staged photos. This fragment sparked a strong reaction first from the Liberovs themselves, and then from subscribers on social media. Among the reactions, many demanded that the video be deleted, and that Kamila Hrabchuk apologize to the Liberovs for what users considered inappropriate editing.

The comments also included sexist statements and hate speech directed at journalist Kamila Hrabchuk, such as:
