This study was conducted to find out the situation of women journalists and other women media workers in Ukraine, in particular after the armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, focusing on the specific challenges faced by women in the performance of journalistic work.
This is one of the first thorough attempts in Ukraine to measure the gender aspect of the work of the Ukrainian media not only in terms of content, but also from the standpoint of the organization of editorial work, the attitude of women in media to gender issues, the implementation of formal and informal policies and practices of equality in teams, experiences of discrimination or violence against women media workers.

We hope that the information published in this work will contribute to the visibility of gender inequality in the Ukrainian media and will be used to draw up programs to help and to support women journalists in Ukraine and overcome inequality.
