The Head of “Women in Media” NGO has joined the Expert Council on State Information Policy under the Ministry of Culture

On April 6, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine established an Expert Council on the formation of state information policy. Among its members is also Liza Kuzmenko, Head of the NGO “Women in Media.”

The Council is chaired by Deputy Minister of Culture for European Integration Nataliia Movshovych, with Hanna Krasnostup, Director of the Department of Strategic Communications and Promotion of Ukrainian Culture, serving as Deputy Chair.

The Expert Council is a permanent advisory body that will develop recommendations and proposals on state information policy.

According to the order, the Council’s key tasks include preparing proposals and recommendations, identifying ways, mechanisms, and approaches to address challenges arising in the implementation of state policy in the information sphere, contributing to the development of effective policy in response to current challenges and needs, promoting the dissemination of best international practices, and fostering cooperation with other state institutions, civil society organisations, and the expert community to exchange experience in the information field.

The Council’s proposals and recommendations are adopted through open voting by members present at the meeting. In the event of a tie, the deciding vote belongs to the chair of the meeting.

The Expert Council will operate on a voluntary basis. Its decisions are advisory in nature.
