On Ukraine’s Constitution Day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored Oleksandra Horchynska in recognition of her outstanding contribution to strengthening Ukrainian statehood, as well as her courage and dedication in defending Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, her significant personal contribution to the development of various spheres of public life, and her conscientious fulfillment of her professional duties.
This is stated in Presidential Decree of Ukraine No. 532/2026, “On Awarding State Decorations of Ukraine on the Occasion of Constitution Day of Ukraine,” published on the official website of the Head of State.

The team of the NGO Women in Media warmly congratulates Oleksandra on this award: “We are delighted that Oleksandra is part of our community. Her professionalism, integrity, and dedication to journalism make a significant contribution to the development of independent media in Ukraine.”
It should be noted that June 28 marks Constitution Day in Ukraine — the only state holiday enshrined in the Constitution itself. On this day in 1996, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the Fundamental Law, which established the legal foundations of an independent Ukraine, as well as its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
