The organization Women in Media is conducting a survey among women working in Ukrainian media to collect honest information about the situation of women in the media sector since the beginning of the full-scale war. We want to hear your voices — about challenges, safety, work, and support.

This survey is about us and for us. It will help develop specific programs of assistance and professional growth for women journalists. Your responses will be used only in anonymized form.
We kindly ask you to complete the survey by November 25, 2025. It will take no more than 15 minutes of your time.
In 2022, we conducted a similar survey. Based on its results, we created several important support programs for women journalists, including:
- “Taking Care of Our Health.” Within this initiative, we cover the costs of Ukrainian women media workers’ health examinations, including oncology and hormonal panels, and consultations with a mammologist and gynecologist. The support, however, is not limited to this. We can also cover the cost of psychotherapy sessions, vision check-ups and eyeglasses, or the purchase of a blood pressure monitor.
- “We Take Care of You While You Care for Others.” This program aims to support women journalists by covering caregiving-related expenses, such as nanny services, kindergarten fees, extracurricular classes, and tutoring, in conditions of increased workload for media professionals. Feedback from participants can be found at the provided link.
This survey is conducted by Women in Media NGO within the framework of the “Voices of Ukraine” support program, coordinated by the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF), implemented as part of the Hannah-Arendt-Initiative, and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
