Women in Media NGO, together with the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy, in partnership with UNESCO and with the support of Japan, is organizing a training webinar for media professionals: “Artificial Intelligence in Media Work: Data Journalism, Editorial Policies, and Safety”

The International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists in 2025 is marked under the theme “Raising awareness on AI-facilitated gender-based violence against women journalists” This theme highlights the emerging threats faced by women journalists in the digital environment and the “chilling effect” such violence can have on freedom of expression and journalism as a whole.

At the same time, the global “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” campaign (25 November – 10 December) is underway, aiming to raise awareness about violence against women and girls in all its forms.

To support newsrooms in addressing these threats, we are hosting a training webinar focused on practical tools, policies, and approaches for working with AI.
